Profhilo® VS Botox®

With new treatments arising in the industry such as Profhilo®, it can be difficult to establish which treatment is going to give you the look you desire. With many different techniques, products and types of treatments, it’s always best to seek the opinion of a medical expert who can eliminate any worries or fears and offer you the best the correct treatment plan for your concerns.

What are the benefits of Profhilo® VS Botox®?

Profhilo® is a skin booster treatment which will give you a lifted and plumper appearance to the skin. Some of its benefits include improving skin hydration, laxity, signs of ageing and overall rejuvenation. Profhilo® is a long lasting treatment but it is recommended to upkeep your treatment every 4-6 months to maintain optimum results. At Aesthetics Life we recommend two treatments in a row to achieve optimum results each time.

Botox® is a purified protein that improves the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and gives the skin a more glowing appearance. It does this by relaxing muscles in the targeted area, meaning dynamic lines (lines formed from movement) are reduced. Its benefits include removing visible signs of ageing, smoother looking skin and can relieve muscle tension. Botox® is a treatment which you should aim to upkeep every 3-4 months.

Which should I choose between Profhilo® VS Botox®?

Whilst Profhilo® and Botox® may sound like similar treatments in terms of rejuvenating the skin, they are completely different and will give you different results.

Profhilo® doesn’t have an affect on the movement of your muscles, whereas Botox® works to relax those muscles. Profhilo® has an overall improvement on the skin quality and isn’t used to target certain areas of the face, unlike Botox®.

Profhilo® VS Botox®: The summary

Profhilo® is a skin hydrating treatment, providing optimum skin quality and will also lift, plump and rejuvenate the treated area. This is a fantastic treatment for rejuvenating the whole of the targeted area, such as the face or neck.

Botox® smooths the appearance of the skin by minimising fine lines and wrinkles, caused my repetitive facial movements. An example of an area in which Botox® can be used in, is between the eyebrows to relax frown lines.
