What is Sunekos®?
Sunekos® is an injectable hyaluronic acid and amino acid treatment. Sunekos® can rejuvenate and stimulate the building blocks of new skin.
How does Sunekos® work?
Sunekos® treatment helps to regenerate skin by stimulating skin cells to produce new collagen and elastin, effectively repairing and rebuilding skin. This process is referred to as a dermal biogenesis – literally skin regeneration!
What is Sunekos® used to treat?
Hyaluronic acid is a natural component of our skin which draws in water to act as a natural moisturiser, keeping skin hydrated and plump, both of which are signs of youthful skin. Hyaluronic acid is made by our bodies daily, but, as we age, we produce less natural hyaluronic acid, and our skin suffers in appearance because of it. Amino acids are made by our bodies and are essential for the creation of healthy skin, acting as the precursors to the formation of new collagen and elastin. Sunekos® offers two different treatment options for skin regeneration, which can be performed separately or in combination – Sunekos® 200 and Sunekos® 1200.
Sunekos® 200 contains a low molecular weight hyaluronic acid and Sunekos® 1200 is a medium molecular weight. The former can be used alone to treat the face, neck, décolletage and hands and is great for younger people. If additional ‘cushioning’ is required in the case of lax, sagging skin or deeper lines and wrinkles, then the Sunekos® 1200 can be combined to give extra scaffold support for the dermal biogenesis.
Before Sunekos® treatment
It is important you tell your practitioner about any medicines or dietary supplements you are taking. Some medicines or supplements can increase your risk of bruising. It is also advisable that you do not drink alcohol the night before your treatment, for the same reason. Any make-up will need to be removed prior to the injections and you will be advised not to reapply it for 12 hours in order to reduce the risk of infection or irritation at the injection sites.
After Sunekos® treatment
Skin appears and feels smoother, firmer, and tighter.
How long will Sunekos® treatment last?
Aesthetics Life recommend a course of 3-4 weekly treatments to achieve the optimum results with Sunekos® 200. This is then followed by a repeated course of treatments every six months.
If extra support is required with Sunekos® 1200, then this will be injected a few days before treatment commences with Sunekos® 200. Patients can generally start to notice the effects of treatment after a week, as skin begins to rejuvenate.
