What is PRP?

PRP is a treatment that involves drawing a small amount of your blood which is then reinjected back into the area requiring treatment

What happens during a PRP procedure?

Your medically qualified aesthetic clinician will draw a small amount of blood from you. From this blood the platelets are isolated via a centrifuge.

The clinician will then inject these platelets back into the area requiring treatment, such as the hairline or face. These platelets promote your natural cell growth, rejuvenating tissue. When used on the face this treatment is often called a ‘vampire facial.’

These platelets work to stimulate the bodies natural rejuvenation processes. Therefore, the body will produce more collagen and hyaluronic acid – as well as other substances. Platelets in the blood heal wounds and so this treatment can also be great for scars.

PRP treatment takes up to 30 minutes. At Aesthetics Life we recommend an initial treatment plan of 3 in a row, with 1-month in between. Then we recommend a treatment every 3-months to maintain your results.

Is PRP safe?
