What is a Botox® Eyebrow Lift?
Do you suffer from hooded or drooping eyebrows? As we get older, the lifting capacity of the skin and forehead muscles diminishes over time. We can correct this by placing Botox® to make that part of the forehead muscle (frontalis) stronger so the eyebrows are lifted. Now, that’s an eye opener!
Eyebrow Lift Botox® Treatment
Generally, a Botox® eyebrow lift goes hand-in-hand with frown line (link) anti-wrinkle treatment. Botox® is injected in between the eyes, where frown lines form, which is a depressor muscle, to relax the muscles and smooth any dynamic lines or wrinkles. Once the muscles between the eyebrows are relaxed, it enables the higher forehead muscles to pull up these newly relaxed muscles, heightening the brows and making the eyes appear more open.
Botox® injections are then placed at the end of the eyebrows to relax those muscles. This enables the forehead muscles to raise this area too, heightening the brows resting place. The amount of lift achieved from an eyebrow lift Botox® treatment varies depending on the age of the patient and the active muscle tone.
