What are Bunny Lines?

Bunny lines are horizontal wrinkles that form across the ridge of the nose. People commonly have more than one bunny line, and they are caused by everyday facial expressions and as the years pass, they become more noticeable. As we get older, bunny lines tend to form naturally, as an effect of years of smiling, frowning, and forming other expressions with the face.

Bunny lines can be easily treated using precise administration of Botox®* into the nasalis muscle on each side of the nose. Elimination of these wrinkle lines leads to a more rested, approachable and fresh appearance and an overall more youthful look.

During the initial consultation we will discuss the options and create a bespoke treatment plan, going over the benefits and possible side effects. We’ll take a few ‘before’ photos for you to compare the before and after results once the treatment has finished.

During the Bunny Lines Botox® Anti-Wrinkle Treatment.

*For the bunny lines, we tend to use Botox®, a botulinum toxin that was designed specifically for aesthetic purposes that is MHRA (Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency) and FDA (Food and Drug Administration) approved. The active ingredient, botulinum toxin type A, stops nerves releasing a chemical signal to muscle cells, preventing these muscles from receiving strong stimulation, and lessening their movement. Botox® is injected into the muscles on both sides of the nose which can make the bunny lines appear smoother or even disappear altogether.

After the Bunny Lines Botox® Anti-Wrinkle Treatment.

After the treatment, the positive effects of the treatment will be visible within 2 weeks, especially when compared to the ‘before’ photos. The effects of this treatment will typically last around 4 months, depending on the individual. Most people can return to their normal daily life immediately after the treatment. Try to avoid touching and keep the area clean. Also, try to sleep on your back facing up. You might experience slight side effect inconveniences in the treated area, such as swelling or mild bruising. These side effects typically only last between 1 and 3 days. Drink lots of water post treatment.
