We have had a number of our patients enquire about teeth whitening and there seems to be a common theme in the type of questions they ask, so I thought I would summarise them in this blog post for you
Who does it treat?
Anyone unhappy with the colour of their teeth, who wants a brighter, whiter and a more youthful smile.
What problems does it solve?
Discoloured teeth from smoking, drinking wine and coffee. If you have had naturally yellow teeth we can brighten them.
How can I get it?
Once we have determined that your teeth and gums are healthy, you can start the whitening procedure immediately.
What options are there?
You can opt for home whitening which is wearing the whitening trays for 14 nights. Alternatively we can include the home whitening with power whitening. This includes a 1 hour session in the surgery after the home whitening and uses a stronger whitening gel.
Does it hurt?
Absolutely not. 2 weeks prior to commencing the whitening we would recommend a de sensitizing toothpaste to build resistance to the whitening gel allowing a comfortable experience.
How light will I go?
With the home whitening you would improve by 4/5 shades and the power whitening will guarantee 7/8 shades.
How much?
The home teeth whitening is £397 and the power whitening is £597.
Special offers?
Anyone undertaking Invisalign, Inman Aligner or Veneers will qualify for free professional teeth whitening.
Here’s a video I have made which shows the results of some tooth whitening that we have done in our Hertfordshire practice.
