Is botox in Hertfordshire safe?

This is one of the commonest questions I get asked for patients undertaking or thinking about having botox hertfordshire.

In 2002 the FDA approved Botox^® for reducing glabellar lines after trials showed that it is safe and effective in its use for up to 120 days.

There are a number of invalid reasons that the press or media tell you that botox is not safe.

One is that very large doses are used to treat certain neuromuscular disorders such as cerebral palsy. The doses used here are vast compared to what we would use for cosmetic reasons. As with any drug the higher the dose the more chance of side effects.

Another reason is that the results have not been favourable. This is more to due with the skill of the practitioner rather than the drug itself.

Lastly some patients have reported side effects such as the eyes closing or drooping down. This is due to an incorrect technique by the practitioner and relates to above, it is the skill and experience of the practitioner that is the problem and not the drug itself.

In sumamry it is perfectly safe and I am more than happy to have it myself and I also give it to my wife.
