Botox – what happens at the appointment

Many patients are surprised on how easy, comfortable and quick the botox procedure takes.

We would allocate 3 separate appointments for your initial course of botox treatment.

The first appointment would be to carry out an assessment and consultation. We would listen to your concerns and what results you desire. We would carry out an assessment and from this outline what we would recommend and what can be achieved. We would then encourage you to go home and spend some time thinking about this. Only once you are ready and absolutely certain we would go to the next stage.

The second appointment is where we would undertake the clinical procedure with botox. The actually procedure would only take a few minutes. You will leave with red, slightly swollen marks where the botox has been injected. This would last around 20mins and then would disappear.

On the third appointment we would review the results of the botox treatment. This is carried out 2 weeks after the initial appointment. We would administer and botox top ups if required for free at this appointment. My strategy is always to under treat at your first initial visit, as it is always easier to top up after a couple of weeks than give you too much and wait a few months fro it to disappear.

So, a relatively easy and straight forward protocol for botox.
