Dr Singh who runs his botox clinic in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, in his latest blog talks about how botox can reduce headaches and migraines.
Earlier this year there were reports and stories about how the NHS had approved the use of botox to treat certain migraines in certain patients.
As we know botox works by relaxing the muscle. Certain headaches and migraines are caused by the muscles becoming tight. So it would make sense, that if botox can relax certain muscles, then in certain patients their headaches or migraines would either be reduced or eliminated altogether.
Unless you suffer from migraines, it is hard to imagine what these patients have to go through on a regular basis and it severely disrupts their lives.
Any potential remedy is a good thing and as we learn more about this aspect of botox, we will be able to vary our protocol to achieve much better results.
